3-Day Service Learning Retreat with Marilyn McGinnis

Through discussions, activities, and service on and off the farm, we'll explore human rights and social justice; meet people who are making a difference in their communities; and examine important issues in our world today.

Tentative activities and learning opportunities include:

• Service work on Koinonia Farm

• Meet with Juanita Wilson, one of the Leesburg Stockade Girls

• Service work with Harvest of Hope

• Service work with El Refugio

• Learning activities: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Food Disparities; Mock Migration; Immigration Detention, and the Work of El Refugio

Lodging and meals are included in the price.

Ages 12+. Each student must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them. A registration fee is required for both the student and adult.
